The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) in association with Commerce & Industries department on Friday organised a seminar on promoting exports from Meghalaya under the District Hub Programme at District Commerce and Industries Centre, Shillong.
The Office of the District Social Welfare Officer, East Khasi Hills, will organise a programme to observe the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Saturday at Mawkdok Community Hall, East Khasi Hills.
With an aim to prepare election machinery for the upcoming Assembly elections, the Election Branch of West Khasi Hills on Thursday organised a one-day training and provided lectures focusing on rules and regulations, and various guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Awareness
The District Election Officer, West Garo Hills, will conduct a ‘Voters EVM Awareness Campaign’ in all the polling stations and polling areas of the district from December 5 to 14. According to a statement, the Sector Officers, assisted by the Booth Level Officers, will carry out this campaign.
Holiday
All state government offices, revenue magisterial courts and all educational institutions in Eastern West Khasi Hills will remain closed on Tuesday on account of the death anniversary of Ka Phan Nonglait.
