Unclaimed body
The Joint Director of Health Services (SS), Shillong Civil Hospital, has informed that one Lovely Wriang (45), C/o PAB Shillong Civil Hospital, was admitted in the Male Medical Ward-I, Bed No. 27, on December 1. However, he passed away the next day. In this regard, all concerned have been asked to collect the body from the hospital morgue within a period of 3 days, failing which the dead body will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.

East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Jagdish Chelani has informed that the district administration will observe the 150th death anniversary of Pa Togan Nengminja Sangma on December 12 at Pa Togan Nengminja Memorial Park, Chisobira, Williamnagar. According to a statement in this regard, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma will attend the programme as the chief guest.
