SHILLONG, Nov 11: North Shillong MLA Adelbert Nongrum has appealed to the people of his constituency to work in tandem for social development and make the constituency a role model for others.
Speaking during a programme organised by the 17 North Shillong Implementation Committee in the city, Adelbert also asked the locals to be less concerned about community and more about humanity, and become an instrument of blessing for others.
During the programme, persons with disabilities, teaching and non-teaching staff of various educational institutions, sportspersons, artistes from Visual and Performing Arts and COVID-19 warriors from the constituency were felicitated for their contributions to society.
Other highlights of the programme include the launch of ambulances and utility vehicles, song and dance performances, etc.
