SHILLONG, Dec 12: A team of officials from the Election Commission of India will visit Meghalaya this week to review the state’s preparedness for the Assembly election due in less than two months, an official said on Monday.
Chief Electoral Officer FR Kharkongor said the ECI team will hold review meetings with state and central government agencies. He informed that the state has sought deployment of 119 companies of central armed police forces for the polls.
