Srinagar, Dec 12: Pranjal Bhumij produced the solitary goal as RoundGlass Punjab FC overcame a nine-men Real Kashmir FC 1-0 in an I League match at the TRC Stadium here on Monday.
With this win, RGPFC jumped to the second position on the table, while ending Kashmir’s unbeaten run in tournament.
Both teams tried to control possession from the beginning in cold conditions. RKFC had the first chance of the half when Samuel James Lyngdoh found an unmarked Jerry Pulamte unmarked in the box but the latter lashed on to the shot.
An attack from the left wing broke the deadlock in the 21st minute with Krishnananda Singh finding Pranjal Bhumij inside the box on the far post who just had to tap in to give RGPFC the lead.
RGPFC could have doubled their lead in the 36th minute. Krishnananda Singh again found space down the left and dribbled inside only to hit his shot wide. (PTI)
