Govt to release dues of SSA teachers

SHILLONG, Dec 22: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday said the state government will release the pending salaries of Samagra Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers.
The pending salaries of the SSA teachers are up to the month of December.
On the other hand, Sangma said that the state government will release two months’ salaries of government employees and make payments towards pending bills of contractors.
“We will also be releasing the royalties to the three district councils,” he said.
According to him, they are taking steps to ensure that the Christmas celebrations take place smoothly.
