Man killed in hit-and-run

NONGPOH, Dec 21: A 46-year-old was killed on the spot in a hit-and-run case in R-Bhoi on December 20.
The victim, identified as Stanshanding Kharkongngor, from Lumsohpetbneng was returning from his workstation in the evening when an unknown vehicle hit him at Umeit along the Shillong bypass road, Ri-Bhoi, killing him on the spot.
After receiving the information, personnel from Umiam Police Station rushed to the spot to conduct an inquiry.
The body was later handed over to the family members.
