SHILLONG, Dec 29: Superintendent Engineer (Retd), MeECL, Allan K Suchiang, along with his supporters, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a programme on Thursday.
According to a statement, the programme was attended by state BJP president Ernest Mawrie, cabinet minister Sanbor Shullai and State Executive Member and party in-charge of West Jaintia Hills, Gagan Jain.
Addressing the gathering, Mawrie, while welcoming the new members to the party fold, urged the karyakartas to make the enrolment drive of the BJP a grand success.
He said that more professionals joining the BJP will ensure the proper implementation and success of the schemes and programmes of the party.
On the other hand, Suchiang expressed his eagerness to work for the BJP, stating that the party lays focus on development.
