Shillong, Jan 3: A fascinating U-25 Col CK Nayudu Trophy match saw Haryana beat Meghalaya by six wickets on the third day in Mangaldai, Assam, on Tuesday.
The see-saw match saw Meghalaya make 224 in their first innings and then turn in a brilliant bowling performance to dismiss Haryana for 126.
However, Haryana then began a strong fightback and bundled out Meghalaya for 90, which gave them a target of 189 to win.
Resuming the chase this morning on 18/0, Haryana added another 52 runs before they lost their opening wicket to Meghalaya spinner Aryan Bora.
Bora (2/50) then claimed another wicket, while Manish Sharma (2/61) bagged a couple of his own to leave Haryana on 124/4.
However, Meghalaya were not able to break the next partnership and Haryana were victorious by six wickets.
Meghalaya’s next match will be against Karnataka from January 8.
