Party collected Rs 1.73 lakh as contribution: VPP spokesperson

SHILLONG, Jan 17: A total amount of Rs 1.73 lakh was collected from the supporters of the Voice of the People’s Party (VPP) as a financial contribution during Monday’s meeting in Polo, party spokesperson Batskhem Myrboh informed on Tuesday.
Myrboh expressed his gratitude to the party supporters of the party for their monetary contribution and assured that common aspirations of people will be given priority if the VPP is voted to power.
“At the same time, the party urges and welcomes each and everyone in our state to join the people’s movement towards achieving the goal of making Meghalaya the state of good governance with public-driven administration. Let us together create history,” he said.
“We believe that the people of Meghalaya will not fail the state. The party, together with the people, is committed to revive, restore and transform Meghalaya towards betterment,” the VPP spokesperson added.
