Denied ticket by UDP, Bindo Lanong to contest poll as Independent

Shillong, Jan 20: Senior leader of the United Democratic Party (UDP), Bindo Lanong today lambasted the party leadership  and said   he had decided to contest Assembly elections from Nongkrem as an independent even though the party has denied ticket to him.

He also said that after the election, he would consider for amalgamation of his parent party which will be called UDP-O (Original).

He also slammed the top leaders of the party like Metbah Lyngdoh and Jemino Mawthoh saying they have spoiled the party.
