SHILLONG, Jan 19: The Meghalaya Day Run 2023 will be organised by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs on Saturday.
In Shillong, the prize money for the 10k open category is Rs 8,000 for the winner and Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 for the second and third places respectively.
For the 5k Meghalayan, the cash prize is Rs 3,000, Rs 2000 and Rs 1000. The chest number will be distributed on Friday from 10 am to 4 pm at the office of the District Sports Officer (DSO) of East Khasi Hills at JN stadium.
Participants have been asked to bring their birth certificate/voter ID card for age verification. Offline registration may also be done at DSO office till 4.30 pm of Friday.
The Meghalaya Day Run will also be held in Ri-Bhoi on the same day.
The first prize is Rs 700, while the second and third prizes are Rs 5000 and Rs 3000 respectively.
Special prize will be awarded to the oldest runner (both male and female categories).
The last date for registration is Friday.
