Free foodgrains
The central government has decided to provide free foodgrains to all NFSA beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) for a year with effect from January 1, 2023, the Sub Divisional Officer (S), Sohra Civil Sub Division, informed in a statement.

In view of the announcement of the general elections to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly which will be held on February 27, the District Election Control Room (9485153270) along with the Expenditure Control Room (9485153272) for South West Khasi Hills have been activated, District Election Officer, South West Khasi Hills, T Lyngwa, said in a statement.

The Sub Divisional Officer, (Election), Sohra Civil Sub Division, has urged the general public under the civil sub division to dial the toll-free number 036371950 to register any complaint and objection with regard to the ensuing general elections.
