Samuel M Sangma to contest polls as BJP candidate

Shillong, Feb 2: Baghmara LAC’s  Independent legislator, Samuel M. Sangma on Thursday submitted his resignation to Assembly Secretariat Commissioner and Secretary, Andrew Simons.
Sangma will be contesting the ensuing Meghalaya Assembly polls as a BJP candidate.
Speaking to reporters here, Sangma said that he had join the saffron party for the sake of development of his constituency.
He further said that the BJP would manage to win few seats from Garo Hills adding that the party would improve its tally  compared to the last Assembly polls.
