Lumkshaid Dorbar imposes strictures

SHILLONG, Feb 2: The Executive Committee of Dorbar Shnong Lumkshaid has decided to impose restrictions in the locality after there was an attempt to defame not only West Shillong constituency but even the locality in 2018 Assembly polls.
Revealing this, Dorbar Shnong Lumkshaid secretary M Kharkrang said that in a bid to ensure peace and tranquility during the elections, no gathering will be allowed in the main road or any bylane of  the locality after 10 pm.
He also said that the candidates wanting to hold meetings in the locality need to take permission from the Executive Committee of the Dorbar and also from the district administration.
Kharkrang said that the candidates should ensure that the meeting, if held, should end by 9 pm and that they should take the responsibility to ensure that there is no untoward incident during the meeting.
