Samuel Sangma resigns, to contest from BJP

SHILLONG, Feb 2: Independent legislator from Baghmara, Samuel M Sangma on Thursday tendered his resignation to contest the Assembly elections from the BJP.
Speaking to reporters, Sangma said that he has joined the saffron party for the development of his constituency.
He added that the BJP will win few seats from Garo Hills and will improve its tally as compared to the last Assembly polls.
