SHILLONG, Feb 7: In a major boost to the NPP in Mawlai, the wife of former MLA (L) Founder Strong Cajee, Sarita Lyngdoh, along with hundreds of supporters decided to lend their support to NPP’s Teiborlang Pathaw in the ensuing Assembly polls.
Lyngdoh had unsuccessfully contested the Assembly elections in 2018.
Speaking on the occasion, Pathaw said Lyngdoh joining the NPP will definitely boost his prospects in the February 27 polls.
Lauding the contributions of former Mawlai legislator Founder S Cajee, Pathaw, who is the sitting KHADC MDC from Mawlai, said that the artificial turf at Mawlai Madan Heh and Mawlai Bypass were one of the initiatives taken up by Cajee.
Pathaw promised to follow up on other developmental works initiated by former MLA which are yet to be completed.
It may be recalled that the KHADC MDC Pathaw would have won the 2018 Assembly polls if Sarita Lyngdoh had not contested on a PDF ticket from Mawlai constituency.
