Ethical Voting programme for NSS volunteers

Tura, Feb 16: The SVEEP Cell, Election Branch of West Garo Hills District on Wednesday, organised an awareness programme on Ethical Voting to the NSS Volunteers of Don Bosco College, Tura during their special camp at the adopted village Babadam.

 George Marboh, MCS ADC, West Garo Hills spoke to the volunteers and asked them to go around the adopted village and spread awareness to come forward to exercise their franchise.

 The Election Branch, West Garo Hills also demonstrated to the volunteers on the use of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and the Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT).

 The volunteers took part with enthusiasm and pledge to create awareness on ethical voting among the people. Most of the NSS volunteers have also enrolled themselves to be poll volunteers during the election to be held on 27th February.
