NONGSTOIN, Feb 15: In a spine-chilling incident from West Khasi Hills, a 28-year-old from Riangpoid Thymmai was reportedly raped and murdered while she was on the way to work.
The incident took place on Tuesday when the victim, who left her home at 6:30 am, failed to reach her workplace, which was in a forest, and was raped and murdered at Phodkynthei, a place before reaching her destination.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered at Nongstoin Police Station, and an investigation into the case has also been initiated.
