Parking arrangement for 58th church meeting
SHILLONG, Feb 16: In view of the 58th church meeting of the Shillong Rilum Presbytery from February 17 to 19, which will be hosted by Mawkhar Presbyterian Church, arrangements have been made for parking of vehicles for faithful who will attend the meeting. According to the church, vehicles can be parked in front and behind the church premises and Mission ground during the service on Friday. On Saturday, besides the aforementioned spaces, vehicles can also be parked at Mawkhar Christian Higher Secondary School. On Sunday, besides the previously mentioned locations, KJP Girls Higher Secondary School, office of the KJP Synod Sepngi at Madan Mission, Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Synod College Bible Society, Nabon College and one side parking from Jaiaw Presbyterian Church to YMCA, Mawkhar, and Mission Compound cemetery to Mission Community Hall has been arranged. Also, vehicles will not be allowed to enter from the junction leading to Dinam Hall.

SHILLONG, Feb 16: Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, Regional Office, Shillong, will conduct a participatory outreach programme called ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0’ in various districts of the state, according to a statement issued here. The theme of the programme is ‘Final PF Withdrawal, Transfer of PF Accounts, Understanding My Account & Account Profile – KYC, UAN Related Issue’. The programme will be held in Ri-Bhoi, East and West Jaintia Hills, and West Khasi Hills, Eastern West Khasi Hills, and South West Khasi Hills on March 1 from 10 am.
Cattle poisoned to death in WKH
NONGSTOIN, Feb 16: Six dairy cattle owned by Nongrwe Diary Cooperative Society Ltd in Nonglwai were allegedly poisoned to death by unknown miscreants. Next to the carcass of one of the cattle, the owner reportedly found an empty bottle of Formaldehyde solution, a highly toxic systemic poison. The cattle were sanctioned by the East Khasi Hills Union Cooperative Society Ltd. under Meghalaya Milk Mission. Chairman of Nongrwe Diary Cooperative Society Ltd, Zacheus Tympuin told pressmen here that an FIR has been registered. A veterinarian doctor has confirmed that deaths were caused by poison.
