UDP releases poll manifesto for Meghalaya polls

Shillong, Feb 17: The United Democratic Party (UDP) on Friday released its manifesto for the ensuing Assembly polls in the State.
The manifesto was released by party’s vice president, Allantry F. Dkhar in  presence of party candidate from Nongkrem, Lambor Malngiang and party women’s wing state president, Pretty Kharpyngrope.

Talking reporters after the release of the manifesto, Dkhar said that they have clearly mentioned in the party manifesto on the top priorities of the party.

Dkhar said that the party has emphasized on uplift the health sector by upgrading infrastructure and improveing efficiency of medical personnel across the state.

According to him, the party will also focus on the development of agriculture sector, empowerment of the youth and special focus will be on the tourism sector.

The UDP vice president said that they would encourage entrepreneurship among the youth besides development of New Shillong Township to decongest Shillong city.
