Rape-murder case: WKH man in police net

NONGSTOIN, Feb 18: Days after a spine-chilling rape-murder of a 28-year-old from West Khasi Hills came to light, police on Friday arrested 40-year-old Langbor Puwein of Mawpon, West Khasi Hills, in connection with the case.
It may be mentioned that the woman was on February 14 raped and murdered while she was on her way to work.
A case was subsequently registered at Nongstoin Police Station, and one Langbor Puwein, suspected of involvement in crime, was arrested within four days by the police.
The accused has been, meanwhile, remanded in police custody.
