SCL First Division: Raj Bhawan get better of Khalsa Warriors

Shillong, Feb 22: Raj Bhawan beat Khalsa Warriors by 74 runs in the Shillong Cricket League First Division match in MCA Polo ground on Wednesday. Sent in to bat first, Raj Bhawan scored 189 for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 35 overs. Vishal Konwar (56 runs off 38 balls) and Sanjay Mandal (53 runs off 71 balls) top scored for Raj Bhawan. For Khalsa Warriors, Sawan Singh (3/27) and Khushaldeep Singh (2/22) were the pick of the bowlers. In reply, Khalsa Warriors were bowled out for 115 in 27.2 overs. Karan Jaiswal top scored with 28 runs off 45 ball, while Anon Ram (22 runs off 28 balls) was the second best scorer for Khalsa Warrior. For Raj Bhawan, Player of the Match Vinay bagged a fifer and ended the match with figures of 5/25. Rohit Ram (2/15) also chipped in with a couple of wickets.
