SpiceJet launches Shillong-Delhi flight

Shillong, Feb 24:  SpiceJet Airline today launched its direct Shillong-Delhi flight from the Shillong Airport at Umroi near here.

This is the third airline company to start scheduled flights from Shillong after Indigo and Alliance Air.  Now t it is expected that the airport will be connected to more routes.

In the inaugural flight, 18 passengers were inbound, and 12 passengers flew from Shillong to New Delhi

The SpiceJet is operating a Q 400 76-seater aircraft and the flight would operate on Monday and Friday. Since it is a scheduled flight, tickets would be available on all the prominent websites.

Senior Government officials including Ri Bhoi Deputy Commissioner were also present on the occasion.
