SHILLONG, Feb 26: The North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, will on February 28 and March 1 organise a ‘National Seminar-cum-Bioentrepreneurs Exhibition’ at Community Centre, NEHU Campus.
According to a statement, the programme will be organised by Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics, NEHU Shillong, in collaboration with BRDC, Shillong, and BioNest Incubator Facility, NEHU Tura.
“The seminar would be divided into three categories — category-I would focus on the latest developments and emerging trends in biotechnological research, category-II is a bio-ideathon where participants would pitch ideas for a problem and category-III will focus on exhibition by the bio-entrepreneurs from across India,” the statement said.
It may be mentioned that the event will be organised in a bid to sensitise young minds and individuals by providing awareness and expertise on start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures. The event will be inaugurated by NEHU VC Prof. PS Shukla.
