Traffic arrangement in Khliehriat on votes counting day

Shillong, Mar 1: In view of the counting of votes of Legislative Assembly Election 2023 at Deputy Commissioner’s Office tomorrow, the SP of East Jaintia Hills District, Jagpal Dhanoa informed that they have prepared the following traffic arrangements  tomorrow w.e.f 7:00 am till the counting is over.

  1. No Entry No.1: From NH-6 towards DC Office Premises, Khliehriat.
  2. No Entry No. 2: From Presbyterian Hr. Sec School Junction to Sanmala (NH-6).
  3. No Entry No. 3: From Old DC Junction to DC Office Premises, Khliehriat.
  4. No Entry No. 4: From Community Hall, Khliehriat West to NH-06.
  5. No Entry No. 5: From SBI Junction/Lad Block to NH-06
  6. Parking No. 1: All vehicles coming from Rymbai side will be parked from Old DC Office Junction and all along the route from Rymbal Side. B. Parking No. 2: All vehicles coming from Deinchynrum side will be diverted from

Khliehriat East Junction and parked at Khliehriat East Playground. C. Parking No. 3 & Parking No. 4:

  1. (1). All vehicles coming from Moowakhu side will be diverted from Lad Sutnga Inc and again to be diverted from Shi Kilo towards Open space at Shikilo (Parking No. 3) and Khliehriat West Playground (Parking No. 4).
  2. (2). All vehicles coming from Sutnga side will be diverted from Shi Kilo towards Open space at Shikilo (Parking No. 3) and Khliehriat West Playground (Parking No. 4).

No Parking of vehicles will be allowed along the National Highway (NH-06) from Lad Sutnga up to Deinchynrum Playground Junction.

The public are requested to cooperate with the Traffic Staff to ensure the smooth flow of traffic before and after the counting of votes.
