Entrepreneurship awareness camp gets under way

SHILLONG, March 18: The Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp, sponsored by the National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), GoI, got underway in the NEHU campus.
According to a statement, the course is being organised by the Department of Biomedical Engineering, NEHU, and sponsored by Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), Ahmedabad.
It may be mentioned that more than75 students from the different backgrounds will be part of this camp, which concludes on March 20.
“The experts from industry and academia would be deliberating with the participants to make them aware about entrepreneurship, start-up, marketing an idea and generation of resources for product commercialisation,” the statement said.
The course was inaugurated by Prof. Iftekhar Hussain, Dean, School of Technology.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Prof. Hussain highlighted the role of start-ups and entrepreneurs in the country and how they can shape the country in the near future.
It may be mentioned that as part of the camp, a visit has been arranged to PRIME Hub so as to make the young participants interact with the officials at the Hub.
