DBC Tura hosts principals’ conference

TURA, March 19: The Annual General Meeting of the Meghalaya College Principals’ Council (MCPC) was held on Saturday at Don Bosco College Tura.
Principals of Colleges from Meghalaya who traveled from Shillong and other places were accorded a warm welcome by the staff and students of Don Bosco College Tura in the college amphitheatre. The students welcomed the Principals with a welcome song and a Wangala dance performed by the students.
Dr S Bawri, Principal Bissau College, Shillong and the president of the council spoke and motivated the students to dream big and work hard to achieve their dream.
During the session that took place today, the Principals’ Council discussed issues relating to individual colleges, the university, education department and the UGC were discusswd duri9ng the event.. The session was animated by Dr Sylvanus Lamare, Principal At Edmund’s College and the General Secretary of the Council. The MPCC’s new office bearers were elected during the conference attended by altogether 22 college principals.
