Shillong, March 20: The Korean carmaker, Hyundai Motor is all set to launch the new-generation Verna on Tuesday. Bookings of this compact sedan, Hyundai Verna has already commenced across the country at an amount of Rs 25,000.
Seen as a strong competitor to Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Volkswagen Virtus, the new Verna is bigger and powerful compared to its outgoing model.
2023 Hyundai Verna specifications
Powering the Hyundai Verna will be a 1.5-litre engine in naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions. Sedan’s turbo-petrol version has the capacity to generate an output of 158bhp and 253 Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a six-speed manual unit, a six-speed torque converter automatic unit, and a seven-speed DCT unit.
Colours and variants
Available in four variants, namely EX, S, SX, and SX(O), the new Verna will also have nine colour options to choose from. Atlas White with Abyss Black, Fiery Red with Abyss Black, Tellurian Brown, Atlas White, Abyss Black, Fiery Red, Starry Night, Titan Grey, and Typhoon Silver will be the options available.
Features and design
2023 Hyundai Verna has several exterior highlights that include split headlamps, an LED light bar running across length of the bonnet, chrome door handles, wraparound LED tail lights, Verna lettering on the boot lid, and a new rear bumper.
Mentioning about the interior highlights, electric sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats are the key features to attract the customers.
Inside, new Verna will also be equipped with a large single-piece display housing the instrument console and touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel along with wireless charging.
Expected price
New Hyundai Verna will come with several segment first features and will be second in its segment to offer ADAS functionality. 4,535 mm long and 1,475 in height, the ex-showroom price of 2023 new Verna is expected between Rs 10-16 lakh.
