World Water Day observed in Nongstoin

NONGSTOIN, March 22: Joining the worldwide observance of World Water Day, the Office of the Superintending Engineer, PHE Western Circle, Nongstoiñ, on Wednesday organised a programme to commemorate the day.
Thematised on ‘Accelerating Change’, the programme was attended by Executive Engineer PHE Nongstoiñ, Deibormi Toi; Executive Engineer,  PHE Mairang, W. Syeimlieh; SDO Nongstoiñ, B. Rynjah; PHE staff, schoolchildren, among others.
Addressing the gathering, Toi said that the programme was organised in a bid to raise awareness on the importance of fresh water and the ways and means to save and preserve sources of water.
During the programme, the objectives of Jal Jeevan Mission were also highlighted by Syiemlieh.
