19 African migrants die as their boat capsizes near Tunisia

Shillong, March 26: 19 migrants from Africa died when their boat capsized near Tunisia while they attempted to cross the Mediterranean.

The incident took place near Tunisia when the migrants from sub-Saharan Africa were trying to go to Italy, a human rights group informed.

Following a large surge of boats travelling towards Italy, five migrant boats have sunk in the previous four days off the southern city of Sfax, leaving 67 people missing and nine people dead.
