Following pro-Khalistan leader Amritpal Singh’s trail, police reaches Pilibhit in UP

Shillong, April 3: Police are currently investigating the Mohanapur Gurdwara in Pilibhit after discovering that CCTV footage till the evening of March 25 has gone missing.

On Sunday, the police team looking into the disappearance of Waris Punjab De leader Amritpal Singh and his assistant Papalpreet Singh arrived in Pilibhit to look into the matter.

Following the retrieval of an abandoned vehicle found on March 28 close to Phagwara in Punjab, Joga Singh, a volunteer at the Gurdwara, was detained by the Punjab police in Ludhiana on March 30.

On March 29, police detained the driver, Gurwant Singh, in Hoshiarpur.

Also, the police team discovered that the surveillance cameras resumed recording from March 26.

The vehicle with the Uttarakhand licence plate and registered in the name of the chief Jathedar of the Badhpura Gurdwara in Pilibhit, Mohan Singh, was visible parked inside the Gurdwara compound in video taken after that date.
