Shillong, April 7: Manish Sisodia, former deputy chief minister of Delhi, questioned Narendra Modi’s academic credentials in a letter he sent from prison.

Sisodia took a jibe at PM in the letter he wrote from Tihar jail, where he is being held in connection with a money laundering case involving the Delhi Excise Policy. Sisodia claimed that India needs an educated Prime Minister “for the country to flourish.”

Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, tweeted a copy of Sisodia’s letter. Kejriwal agreed with Sisodia, calling it “dangerous” for the nation to have an “uneducated Prime Minister”.

Kejriwal’s tweet in Hindi read, “Manish Sisodia wrote a letter to the nation from jail. Prime Minister being less educated is very dangerous for the country. Modi Ji does not understand science. Modi Ji does not understand the importance of education. 60,000 schools have closed in the last few years. It is necessary to have an educated Prime Minister for the progress of India”.
