NONGPOH, April 11: The Federation of Khasi Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP) Mawhati Circle conducted an inspection of the PMGSY road that connects Umsning and Jagiroad to Lymphuid village, a border village under Mawhati constituency, on Tuesday. The road has been incomplete despite work starting in 2014 with the estimated completion by 2020.
During the inspection, the FKJGP members discovered that the road was in a dilapidated condition causing inconveniences to the local people.
The organisation has urged the government to direct the concerned contractor to complete the project as soon as possible for the benefit of the people.
