Veteran journalist P P Singh passes away

Guwahati, April 17: Veteran septuagenarian journalist based in Guwahati Pushp Paul Singh passed away after suffering a heart attack in the wee hours here today. He breathed his last at around 1 am.

P P Singh started his career in journalism Agartala-based Correspondent of ‘The Times of India’   and was associated in the field of journalism for over 30 years.

The senior journalist also worked with The Economic Times and BBC and went on to start the first news portal from Northeast.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his grief on the demise of a veteran journalist and tweeted, “Deeply pained to learn about the demise of veteran journalist Pushp Paul Singh, who was a well-known face of media for 3 decades in the North East. I offer my sincere condolences to his aggrieved family & well-wishers. Om Shanti!”
