Marngar re-elected KSU president, Thabah general secy unopposed

SHILLONG, May 6: Lambokstarwell Marngar and Donald V Thabah were on Saturday re-elected to the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the KSU unopposed as president and general secretary respectively.
Biangbor L Paliar was also re-elected as the vice president to KSU CEC.
A total number of 5,177 KSU members from 551 units had cast their votes on the same day, out of which 373 votes were declared invalid.
While declaring the results, KSU election committee chairman, Danny Khyriem, informed that there were 33 candidates who had contested in the 15th election to the KSU CEC.
Out of a total of 33 candidates, Khyriem informed that three candidates were re-elected unopposed to the top posts of the student’s body.
The other KSU leaders who were elected to various posts include Reuben A Najiar (assistant general secretary), Pynkmenlang Sanmiet (education secretary), Eric A Nongkynrih (sports and cultural secretary), Shiningstar Kharbhikhiew (environment secretary), Pynshaiborlang Rani (information and publicity secretary), Spaindarsing Lyngkhoi (office secretary) and Raymond Kharjana (organising secretary).
