Pakistan provided war-like weaponry to terrorists in Rajouri and Poonch: Reports

Shillong, May 8: Days after five soldiers were killed in an encounter in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, there are reports that Border Action Teams (BATs) have been seen in areas along Line of Control (LoC) in the Union Territory.

While the BAT teams are seen in Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) side of the LoC, it has been learnt that they might have provided training and weapons to the terrorists that indulged in encounter after infiltrating into the Indian territory.

It has been reported that war like weapons were provided to these terrorists by Pakistan. The BAT were seen along LoC in Krishna Ghati, Bhimber Gali, Mendhar, and Rajouri – areas which witnessed an ambush on an Army truck and encounter with Special Forces.

Terrorist movement was reported from Lanjote, Nikail, Kotli and Khuiratta in PoJK around Rajouri and Poonch sectors.
