Jowai, May 9: The Jaintia Co-Ordination Committee for Reservation Policy (JCCRP) comprising Synjuk Waheh Shnong Ri Jaintia, Synjuk Waheh Shnong Jowai, Jaintia Students’ Union (JSU), Jaintia Youth Federation (JYF), Jaintia Students Movement (JSM) and East Jaintia National Council (EJNC), today submitted a joint petition for review of the State Reservation Policy-1972, to the Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar

The JCCRP have come up with a consensus and decisions to  strongly demand from the present state Government not to initiate the Reservation Roster since the time the Reservation Policy came into effect.

JCCRP has also suggested the state Government to kindly review and revamp this outdated State Reservation Policy 1972  given that  now with the growing number of population and educated youths in the state the reservation policy seems more like a discrimination and bias against some tribes.
