A woman pays floral tribute to a portrait of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore during a programme to commemorate Rabindra Jayanti, in the city on Tuesday. The programme was organised by Meghandini Mahila Samiti in association with Directorate of Art &
Culture and was supported by Indian Council for cultural Relations and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Shillong. Some highlights of the programme include competitions on English and Bengali recitation, painting, English essay writing, as well as cultural performances.
