Panel formed to recover environmental compensation

SHILLONG, May 24: The government, in compliance of a National Green Tribunal order, has constituted a committee to formulate modalities for expeditious recovery of environmental compensation amounting to Rs 139.39 lakh from illegal stone crushers and stone quarry units in Ri-Bhoi district.
