JH girl tops HSSLC Arts examination

JOWAI, May 26: Larisa Lamin of Adventist Higher Secondary School, Thadlaskein, has topped the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSSLC) examination (Arts), the results of which were declared on Friday.
She scored 450 marks.
When asked, Larisa wants to pursue English as an honours subject and aspires to be a lecturer.
She has also attributed her success to the teachers and God.
Meanwhile, three students of North Liberty Higher Secondary School, Jowai, have brought laurels to West Jaintia Hills in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination.
While Ressa Ee Christine Suting secured eleventh position with 96.16% marks, Mendelson M Langstang secured fourteenth position with 91.66%.
Rilanaika Sari, on the other hand, secured twentieth position.
Sanikawan Challam, a student of QC Springside English Secondary School, Jowai, secured 13th position while Dalammi Dauni Rymbai of KJP Synod Mihngi Higher Secondary School secured 20th position.
