Noted city doctor Andreas Dkhar passes away

SHILLONG, May 27: Additional DHS and Medical Superintendent of Shillong Civil Hospital, Dr Andreas Dkhar passed away at Super Care Hospital on Saturday at around 7.30 am.
He was 57.
Dkhar had suffered a massive stroke on Wednesday night at his residence. His body was shifted to his residence at Pohkseh here.
His funeral will be held at the Catholic Church Cemetery situated at Nongshiliang, Nongthymmai, at 2 pm on Monday.
Meanwhile, the office of the Joint Director of Health Services, Civil Hospital has informed that as a token of respect and appreciation of his contribution towards healthcare sector, the OPD will remain open till 12 noon on Monday but emergency services will continue.
