Multi-purpose hall of St Joseph’s Minor Seminary inaugurated

NONGSTOIN, May 28: Former Nongstoin MLA Macmillan Byrsat on Saturday inaugurated the new multi-purpose hall of St. Joseph’s Minor Seminary at Pyndengrei Nongstoin.
The building was constructed under the Chief Minister’s Special Development Fund (CMSDF) at an estimated cost of Rs. 12 lakh.
Addressing the inaugural programme, Byrsat said that during his five-year tenure as an MLA, he was able to contribute around Rs 2.50 crore to all the Christian institutions in the constituency.
He also said that the St. Joseph’s Minor Seminary at Pyndengrei is a special institution that teaches the seminarian in all-round formation.
Others who were part of the programme include Rector of St. Joseph’s Minor Seminary Fr. Alphonsus Wahlang, Parish Priest of Pyndengrei Parish Fr. Marius Thongni, former pupils of St. Paul’s Seminary Shillong, and others.
