KSU nudges DM&HO in med equipment diversion issue

NONGSTOIN, May 29: After the report on diversion of medical equipment meant for Maternity and Child Hospital (MCH) Nongstoin to Mawkyrwat Civil Hospital, the KSU West Khasi Hills District Unit on Monday evening met officials at the DM&HO here and sought the office’s intervention in the matter.
KSU WKHD general secretary Franklin Syiemiong flagged the issue while demanding of the department to make the Maternity and Child Hospital in Nongstoin operational to cater to the needs of the people of West Khasi Hills.
The union has assured to follow up the matter with the Health department so that the MCH is sanctioned at the earliest.
