Shillong, June 2: The dismal power scenario in Meghalaya is expected to improve only after the state receives proper rainfall.

The Power Minister AT Mondal today said that the low level of Umiam Hydro Power project was still a matter of concern.

Stating that the Government is already buying power to meet the shortage in the state, the minister said that the load shedding scenario would improve shortly as the state received some amount of rain which is expected soon.
