SHILLONG, June 2: The state government has effected a major reshuffle in the state Police department.
A notification in this regard on Friday informed that Superintendent of Police (SB-II), Meghalaya, Shillong, Bashanborlang J. Laloo is transferred and will be posted as the Commandant, Special Force-10, Meghalaya, while Deputy Commandant, 4th MLP Bn, Sohpian, Emon Marap, will be allowed to hold charged posting and is transferred and posted as the Chief Security Officer, MePDCL, Meghalaya, Shillong.
Similarly, 2nd-in-Command, 2nd MLP Bn, Goeragre, West Garo Hills, Kamakhya Prasad, is allowed to hold charged posting and is transferred and posted as the Commandant, 3rd MLP Bn, Sahbsein, West Jaintia Hills, while Deputy Commandant, 5th MLP Bn, Samanda, East Garo Hills, Ian Onel Swer, is allowed to hold charged posting and is transferred and posted as the Superintendent of Police (SB-II), Meghalaya, Shillong.
The notification also stated that 2nd-in-Command, 1st MLP Bn, Mawiong, Restina Pathaw, is allowed to hold charged posting and is transferred and posted as the Assistant Inspector General of Police (E), while N. Subhash Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police, SF-10, is allowed to hold charged posting and is transferred and posted as the Assistant Inspector General of Police (L&O).
Deputy Commandant, 5th MLP Bn. Samanda, Shabbir Sayeed Dkhar, has been transferred and posted as the Additional Superintendent of Police, SF-10, while Assistant Commandant, 5th MLP Bn, Samanda, Marbin B. Marak, is transferred and posted as the Assistant Commandant, Special Force-10.
Deputy SP (Crime), East Khasi Hills, Dharmendra Kr. Prasad, has been transferred and posted as the Assistant Commandant, SF-10, Meghalaya, Shillong, and Assistant Commandant, 4th MLP Bn, Sohpian, Govind Kumar Chetri, is transferred and posted as the Assistant Commandant, 5th MLP Bn, Samanda.
On the other hand, Assistant Commandant, 4th MLP Bn, Sohpian, Tem Bahadur Chetry, has been transferred and posted as the Assistant Commandant, 5th MLP Bn, Samanda, East Garo Hills.
