GH man gets 20 years in jail for minor’s rape

TURA, June 9: The Special Judge of the POCSO Court of West Garo Hills has convicted one Ramjan Ali and awarded him 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for raping a minor girl.
As per information from WGH Police, Ali, who is a resident of Tikrikilla, was arrested after he sexually assaulted a minor girl on March 19, 2014, in the house of the complainant. A case under POCSO Act was subsequently registered.
A charge sheet was submitted on June 27, 2014, following which Ali was tried in a court of law.
