Hyderabad woman stabbed to death in London, suspect arrested

Shillong, June 14: In a tragic incident, a 27-year-old woman hailing from Hyderabad and studying in the United Kingdom was fatally stabbed at her accommodation in London.

The victim, identified as Kontham Tejaswini Reddy, had been residing with her friends in a residential property located in Neeld Crescent, Wembley. Reports indicate that on Tuesday, a Brazilian man attacked Reddy and her roommate with a knife, leading to the unfortunate demise of Reddy, while her 28-year-old friend sustained minor injuries.

Following the incident, law enforcement authorities apprehended two individuals in connection with the murder. The Metropolitan Police had previously released a photograph of Keven Antonio Lourenco De Morais, a Brazilian national, seeking public assistance in locating the suspect involved in the assault. The 23-year-old man has now been arrested in Harrow, near the crime scene in Neeld Crescent, Wembley.

Upon receiving the distress call, officers from the Metropolitan Police promptly arrived at the scene accompanied by the London Ambulance Service. Both women were promptly treated for stab wounds; however, despite the diligent efforts of the emergency services, the 27-year-old woman tragically lost her life at the crime scene. The victim’s next of kin are yet to be notified about the devastating incident, as stated by the police in an official statement.
