The scheme comprises two sub-schemes, viz. the National Fellowship Scheme and the National Scholarship Scheme.
While the National Fellowship Scheme aims to offer financial assistance to exceptional ST students pursuing M Phil or PhD, the National Scholarship Scheme encourages talented ST students to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate courses in professional fields, including Management, Medicine/Science, Engineering and Technology, Humanities, Law, and Social Science.
It may be mentioned that further information on National Fellowship Scheme and National Scholarship Scheme can be availed at https://fellowship.tribal.gov.in and www.scholarships.gov.in respectively.
