NCPCR, SCPCR hold training prog for CWCs

SHILLONG, June 21: A seven-day residential training programme for Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) on Child Rights under the aegis of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in collaboration with the Meghalaya State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (Meghalaya-SCPCR) commenced in the city on Monday.
The programme has been dubbed as an important milestone in enhancing the capacity of CWCs to protect and promote the rights of children.
It aims to equip the CWCs with essential knowledge and skills in understanding child rights, child protection laws, case management, child psychology, rehabilitation and effective decision-making.
